Mike Cook was raised for 30 years on the beaches of Southern California, and seasoned in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Mike picked up the flute in fifth grade with all the other fifth graders and with encouragement from his parents continued to play through eighth grade in the "Orchestra". Not wanting to be a band geek or orchestra flute player, Mike bailed on the structured music path and began jamming with all his "Cool" garage band friends. Knowing that a musician needs to bring more to the table then just a single instrument, during the last 30 years Mike has laid the framework for many songs by playing the bass guitar and writing many songs. From creating jingles to performing movie scores or playing in rock bands to classical duos, Mike is a great asset to Gratitude and will continue to push his personal musical limits and enjoy the ride.
